Grandmaster George Bell, a father of four has been continuously training in the martial arts for the past 50 years with a heavy emphasis on Taekwondo, Hapkido, Judo, Balintawak Eskrima, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and personal protection. His original background was with the Moo Duk Kwan family of Taekwondo under the guidance of his uncle Dr. Cruddie Torian in his hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in July of 1974. In 1981 he earned his 1st degree black belt in Moo Duk Kwan Taekwondo. In the late 1980’s he was introduced to Hapkido and is presently mentored by Grandmaster Dr. Ian Cyrus. In addition, Grandmaster Bell previously studied directly with Grandmaster Bobby Taboada & primarily under the late Grandmaster Sam Buot in Balintawak Eskrima. Presently GM Bell trains with NECOPA Balintawak with Grandmaster Rino Balinado. In the mid 1990’s GM Bell was a resident athlete at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado from 1995 to 1999 and was under the guidance of two world-class World Taekwondo Federation coaches, Dr. Jin Bang Yang, president of the Korean Taekwondo Association in Korea and U.S. Olympic Coach & Olympian Han Won Lee. During the past two decades GM Bell has obtained ranks in Judo with O'Sensei Porter, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with Professor Israel Gomes to add to his disciplines. He is a former Taekwondo international champion, national champion, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu national champion, world medalist and has produced many students worldwide in various disciplines. He also works with many individuals in the law enforcement field on defensive tactics.
